  • According to Psalm 1, how are the righteous different from the wicked?
  • From Psalm 2, what should kings/rulers do that will keep the Lord from being angry with them and that will keep them blessed/happy?
  • Psalm 33 encourages us to rejoice in the Lord. What reasons can you find in that psalm for doing so?

  • According to Psalm 66, what keeps the Lord from answering your prayers?
  • Take note of the incredible promise at the end of Psalm 67.
  • Psalm 69:3 refers to intense longing. Have you ever yearned for God this way? Why or why not?
  • Psalm 70 is equally intense. Is God saying anything in these two psalms about your prayer life?

DAY 5 2 Samuel 11-12; 1 Chronicles 20; Psalm 51

  • Today’s reading focuses on David’s adultery with Bathsheba and its aftermath. As you read this tragic tale, pray for God to strengthen you and your family and friends against this damaging sin.
